Automate Creating Contour Cuts in Enfocus Switch | Jason's Tech Tips

Here's actually a pretty common problem, although it always sort of blows me away when we see these. We've got this job that's come in to a customer, they want to do a sticker of this little Toyota truck. Just a small cut out sticker, but it's tiny, it's floating in the middle of an 8.5 by 11 blank page.

There's no dye line on this, but they want dye cut stickers. Okay, we can fix that with Switch. Here we've created an action list, it's going to trace the contour, and we can go and take a look at that real quick.

There's a trace path, there's quite a few steps to this, but it's an action list in Pitstop. We'll activate this flow, grab our artwork, drop it in the front end, and away Pitstop server runs along with Switch. Out the other side comes our final file, and here we go.

The page has been trimmed to the contour, the file reduced in size, and there's our through cut, added right in and ready to go. Just that simple, Switch solves another problem.
