Spring brings longer days and more natural light in production facilities. That's great for morale, but can be hard for color evaluation consistency.

So an important question as we head into Q2 is, when's the last time you checked your viewing booth's D50 bulbs? Bulbs degrade over time, shifting their color temperature. Add seasonal sunlight changes affecting ambient conditions, and your color evaluations might not match what they did in February. D50 standard exists specifically to eliminate lighting variability from color decisions, but it only works if your booth maintains proper specs.

Consistent color starts with consistent lighting. Spring is a good reminder to verify your viewing conditions haven't drifted.
